Questions

The questions people actually ask, with the answers the pages above give, in short.

What does OutcomeDev actually do?

It runs the work a business has to keep doing. A filing is prepared and made ready, a renewal is watched and handled, a client who owes a document is chased, an invoice that has aged is followed up. Each of those is an item on the desk, with a date, and the desk works it.

How long does it take to get going?

About a minute. An account, its own database and the first pass over the business are provisioned automatically once a name, a website and one sentence are given. The list is on the desk when you first sign in.

Do I have to fill in a long questionnaire?

No. The website and the sentence are the brief. OutcomeDev works out the rest and proposes the list, and you correct anything it has wrong.

Does it replace the software the business already uses?

No. It operates it. Accounting software stays accounting software, the mailbox stays the mailbox. The desk works inside those systems rather than replacing them.

What is an item?

One thing on the desk: one filing, one renewal, one chase, one milestone. It is the unit the plan counts, and the only thing the plan counts.

Does adding a colleague cost more?

No. Plans are priced on how many items are on the desk, never on seats. Adding people to the account costs nothing, on every plan.

Will the bill change if the desk has a busy month?

No. There is no usage meter. The plan is set by where the item count sits, and prompts, model calls and messages are not metered.

Are messages sent without me seeing them?

Only what the permission panel allows. Anything not allowed is prepared and put in front of you to approve first, and the permission panel is where that boundary is set and changed.

Can it sign in to a system that has no integration?

Often, yes. It can sign in to sites it has not seen before and work the screens. A site that demands a one-time code, or presents a CAPTCHA, stops it and hands that step to you. Some sites refuse this kind of access outright, and nothing inside OutcomeDev changes that.

Why does it ask who holds each domain?

Because the holder's name is the name that appears on the card statement. Domains get bought in a hurry under a personal account, and years later the renewal is a charge nobody recognises. Showing the holder makes that visible.

Is a person ever needed?

Yes, and it should be. A wet signature, a physical inspection, or anything sworn before a witness is legally reserved to a person. The desk prepares those steps completely and stops at the signature. A one-time code or a CAPTCHA stops it too, by design, because a check that proves a particular person is present should involve that person.

What happens when something cannot be completed?

The item stays on the desk with the reason attached and the step handed to you. Nothing fails quietly, and nothing disappears.

Where is the data held?

Each customer runs in their own database. Credentials are encrypted, and a data processing agreement is available before anything is connected. Data can be exported at any time, and is deleted on request.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time, from the same screen that started the plan. The service runs to the end of the paid period.

What if the proposed list is wrong?

Correct it. Editing the list is expected. The desk treats your correction as the truth, and it is the reason nothing is acted on before you have looked at the desk.

Does anything happen when nobody is signed in?

Yes. Every business's desk has a daily run, so work happens whether or not anybody is watching. The next time the desk is opened, Today shows what changed.
